Hi Jennifer S
you can monetize it by implementing any or all of the tips we’ll discuss below.
1. Google AdSense
One of the easiest things you can do to immediately earn money from your website is to add Google AdSense. Just sign up for an account, get the special code, and add it to your website where you want AdSense to appear. Based on the content of your page, Google will serve relevant text ads. The more targeted and relevant your content, the more targeted the ads will be (and hence more clicks).
2. Affiliate Programs
There are thousands and thousands of affiliate programs with products online. It’s a simple concept – merchants pay you commissions when you send customers to them. If you have targeted traffic coming to your site why not promote related products and earn extra money?
Hi Jennifer,
What you’re doing is called ‘arbitrage’, and may be frowned upon by Google, Yahoo, etc. Nonetheless, you can do it and make a decent amount of money doing so.
Since you’ve already got AdWords set up, what you need to do is make sure that you are paying a low amount to get those visitors to your website. Then you need to find some ads on your site that you think people will be interested in that will pay well.
For example: If your website is about blue widgets
Pay AdWords 10cents a click for the term ‘blue widgets’. Then on your website join up with an affiliate marketing company that pays you when someone comes to their site and buys a blue widget.
You become the ‘middleman’, and if you’ve got a decent amount of good content on your website, you can do well.
